The hydraulic station is the "power heart" of automated equipment, and excessively high oil temperature is a "heart killer" - if hydraulic oil is constantly exposed to an environment above 60℃ for a long time, it will accelerate oxidation and deterioration, reduce viscosity, and eventually lead to aging of seals and wear of components, ultimately causing system failure and shutdown. Today, let's introduce the "main player" in cooling hydraulic stations: air-cooled heat sinks. This article will help you understand its working logic and practical value.


I. Working Principle: Simply put, it is like "blowing air conditioning on hydraulic oil".

The core of an air-cooled heat sink is "forced convection heat transfer". There is no need for complex principles. Just remember three steps:

1. The high-temperature oil from the hydraulic station flows into the internal pipelines of the radiator.

2. The built-in fan starts to accelerate the air flow through the heat dissipation fins on the outside of the pipe.

3. The heat in the oil is rapidly transferred to the air through the fins, and the cooled oil flows back to the hydraulic station.


Key components can be identified at a glance:

-Heat dissipation core: a cluster of tubes covered with fins, increasing the heat transfer area;

-Cooling fan: Provides forced airflow, divided into two types: power frequency and temperature control (temperature control version is more energy-efficient);

-Oil circuit interface: standardized design, adapted to different hydraulic station flow rates;

-Temperature control switch: Real time monitoring of oil temperature, automatically starting and stopping the fan when it meets the standard.

1. Installation location: Priority should be given to areas with good ventilation, away from heat sources in hydraulic stations (such as pump units and motors), with a reserved heat dissipation space of ≥ 30cm on the fan side to avoid hot air backflow;

2. Fixed method: Adopting stable bracket wall mounted or vertical installation to reduce the impact of equipment operation vibration on the radiator and prevent pipeline interface leakage;

3. Oil circuit connection: Connect according to the principle of "connecting the oil inlet to the hydraulic station's oil outlet and the oil return port to the oil tank" to ensure smooth oil circuit, and install seals at the interface to avoid oil leakage;

4. Electrical wiring: The wiring of temperature control switches and fan motors should be standardized, matched with the voltage level of the hydraulic station, and insulated to prevent short circuit faults;


Iii. Precautions for Use: Details determine service life

1. Regular cleaning: Clean the dust and debris on the fins of the heat dissipation core every week, which can be blown with compressed air to avoid blockage and affect heat transfer;

2. Parameter matching: Ensure that the oil flow rate and working pressure meet the rated values of the radiator, and avoid overpressure and overcurrent operation;

3. Status monitoring: Pay attention to the normal operation of the fan, the sensitivity of the temperature control switch, and promptly repair any abnormal noise or stoppage;

4. Environmental adaptation: Protective nets can be installed in dusty and high-temperature environments, and rain and sun protection measures should be taken for outdoor use.
